TIP OF THE MONTH

May  2021

"I feel like I'm drowning in paper!" Sound familiar? Don't worry! Take a breath and trust that you can be more in control of your "paper situation" than you might think. For starters, try these three bite-sized solutions:

  • Print double-sided. It's the easiest way out there to cut paper clutter and cost by 50%.

  • Go as digital as you can. Effective though it may be, online billing isn't for everyone. For those of us not yet comfortable going completely digital, consider opting out of printed marketing materials such as progress reports, promotions, and newsletters.

  • Rethink your relationship with your printer. The next time you're about to hit print, ask yourself, "Why am I printing this? Is it because I truly need a hard copy, or is it because I don't know what else to do with this document? By printing a copy, do I fool myself into thinking that I can delay whatever tasks are associated with this document?"

Good luck taming your paper tiger. Let me know how it goes!

Working with Lauren was inspiring and fun.  We accomplished a lot in a short amount of time.  Now my house looks a little more serene and life feels a little less frantic.

After years of working, going to school, and raising three children, organization was the last thing on my mind.  After I stopped working, I realized what I needed was organizational help.  That's when I called Lauren.  The job felt overwhelming to me, but Lauren broke it down into small, actionable steps that were easy to accomplish.  Now I amaze people when they ask me if I have something and I know where it is.

Lauren helped me organize my filing cabinet, inbox (children's school papers) and home office area.  She really listened to my frustration about not being organized and calmly helped me make some changes that made such a positive difference.  Lauren works in a supportive, non-judgmental way that I really appreciated.  I would highly recommend her!"
